Dealer From Region Nabbed With Fentanyl, Ghost Gun, Police Say

An alleged Hudson Valley fentanyl and cocaine dealer was busted with drugs and a ghost gun during a warrant search of his home.

Dutchess County resident George Cintron, age 37, of Beacon, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 17, by members of the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force,

According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the task force, Cintron, had been the subject of an investigation into sales of cocaine and fentanyl in the city of Beacon.

A court-ordered warrant search of his home located more than 16 ounces of fentanyl, cocaine, ecstasy, and an illegal ghost gun, Harris said.

Cintron was charged with:

  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Criminal possession of a firearm 

Cintron is being held at the City of Beacon Police Department pending his arraignment.

The Drug Task Force was assisted by the City of Beacon Police Department with the investigation.

"The Drug Task Force is aggressively pursuing narcotic and dangerous drug dealers county-wide to prevent the distribution of poison in our communities," Harris said.
